Show your officers on the website

How the officers list on your site is made from your settings, how to give each person a title, and how to hide someone.

Visitors want to know who to write to. The home page can show the people who run the club, with their titles, and it builds the list from your Settings so you never retype it.

Set the titles

Open Settings (the owner and officers) and find the card Office holders. Every login has a row with:

  • a title, such as Chair, Secretary or Treasurer,
  • a choice of listed or hidden,
  • a Save button.

Press Save on a row after changing it.

What visitors see

The Officers section of the home page is headed "Who runs the club". It shows each person who is listed and active, with their title. Only logins with an office (owner, officer, treasurer, editor, membership secretary or committee) can be shown. A member who has a login is never shown just for having one. When an officer leaves in a handover, their title and place on the list go to the person who takes over.

If nobody is listed, the section is left out of the page rather than shown empty.

Hide someone

Choose hidden on their row and save. They keep their login and everything they can do; they just are not named on the public site.

When an officer changes

Update the title on the new person's row and hide or retitle the old one. See handing over to the next secretary.

A club email rather than a personal one

The contact details, which the Contact section uses, are on the Website page. A club address such as secretary@ is kinder to whoever holds the role next year than a personal one.

Edit the sections of your website and invite another officer.
