Clubroll

Choose a template and publish your website

Pick one of six looks and a colour, check the two things publishing needs, put the site on the web, and take it down again if you need to.

Your club's website is made from the same records as the rest of Clubroll: your officers, your levels and prices, your events and your newsletters appear on it without being typed again.

Pick a look

Open Site. On the card for the look, choose one of six templates and one of its four colours, then press Save the look:

  • Civic society. Cream paper and ink, like a roll book.
  • Garden club. Soft greens and rounded corners.
  • Choir and arts. A dark, poster-style page.
  • Sports club. A navy band and strong capitals.
  • Professional association. White and slate, editorial.
  • Neighbourhood group. Warm paper and round cards.

The preview on the right changes when you save. You choose from each template's own colours, never a free colour, because every pair has been checked so text stays easy to read.

What publishing needs

The Publishing card shows a checklist, and the button stays off until both are ticked:

  • a line or two about the club (the one-line description, or the About text),
  • a way for a visitor to reach you (a contact email or a phone number).

Add them under the club details on the same page.

Publish

Press Publish the site. The card then shows the address where visitors can see it. A club that has not subscribed yet cannot publish: it is told the one next step. See why you cannot publish or email yet.

Until you publish

The site is a draft. It is a "not found" page for everyone but your officers, search engines are told to ignore it, and Preview in a new tab shows what visitors will see. To show your committee before it is live, see preview your site before you publish.

Take it down

Press Take the site down on the same card. It goes back to a draft that only your officers can see. Nothing is deleted.

Next

Edit the sections of your site and add a photo.
