Pause the reminders
How to stop all dues reminders with one click, what a pause does and does not change, and how to start them again.
Sometimes reminders should wait: the dues date has changed, the committee is reconsidering the price, or you have found a mistake in the roll. One click stops all of them.
Pause
Open Reminders and press Pause all reminders. The card at the top changes to say the reminders are paused and the date. While paused:
- nothing is sent to any member,
- the note to the treasurer the day before is off too,
- and nobody's step is used up, so no member loses a reminder they should still receive.
The change is written to the audit log with your name. Any officer can pause.
Resume
Press Resume reminders. Reminders pick up from today. Members are not mailed for the days that passed while it was paused, as the page itself says. A step can go up to two days after its day, so a pause that ends inside that time still sends it; after that, the step has been missed.
Pause one reminder instead
To switch off one of the three steps, untick Enabled on that step's card and press its Save button. See change what the reminders say.
The note to the treasurer
The day before reminders go out, Clubroll emails the treasurer how many will go and who cannot be reached by email, with a link to this page. It goes to whoever holds the title Treasurer, otherwise to the club's owner and officers. The owner, an officer or the treasurer can turn it off on the screen How members pay, and when reminders go.
What a pause does not stop
A payment you record still stops that member's reminders, receipts still go when you tick them, and newsletters are not affected: a pause is only for dues reminders.
