How members pay you: payment link, bank details and references
Where to put your club's bank details or payment link so every reminder carries them, and how the member reference lets Clubroll find who paid.
Clubroll does not collect your dues. It tells members how to pay you, and it records what arrives.
Set it once
The owner, an officer or the treasurer opens Dues, then How members pay. The card How members pay has three boxes:
- The club's own payment link (optional). A PayPal.me, Stripe Payment Link, Zeffy or GoCardless address that you own. It must start with https. Members who tap it pay your account directly.
- Bank details (optional). Account name and number, or where to send a cheque. Plain text.
- Reference letters. Letters printed in front of each member's number, up to six. Leave it empty and Clubroll uses your club's initials.
Press Save. Every change is written to the audit log with the old and the new text.
Where members see it
Every dues reminder carries the link and the bank details, with the member's own reference and a link to tell you they have paid. The same block is on the member's private page. The card shows you exactly what members see.
The member reference
Each member has a reference such as FCS-0042. It is printed on their reminders and receipts so that a line on your bank statement can find its member by itself. Ask members to put it in the payment's reference box. See match a bank statement.
If you already filled this in on the join page
If your club typed payment instructions on its online joining page, Clubroll uses those here until you type something different. There is one set of instructions for a club.
Who can change it
The owner, an officer or the treasurer. Anyone who can read the dues can read it. Treat the link as the club's: when officers change, check the account it points to. See handing over to the next secretary.
