What Clubroll does not do
The honest list of things Clubroll leaves to you or to other tools, so you are not surprised later.
Clubroll keeps the roll, the dues, the newsletter and the club's website in one place. It does not try to be everything. Here is what it leaves out, so you can plan around it.
Money
- Clubroll does not hold or move money. It does not take your members' dues, and it does not pay anyone. Members pay you by bank transfer, cheque, cash or a payment link you own. You record what arrived, or let Clubroll match a bank statement for you.
- It is not accounting. It keeps a true record of who paid what and when, and gives you receipts and an export. It does not do tax returns, invoices to suppliers or bank feeds.
Messages
- Email only. There is no text messaging, no WhatsApp and no phone calls.
- No open or click tracking. A newsletter does not tell you who opened it.
- It will not mail people who have not agreed. That is deliberate, and you cannot switch it off. See why a member is not receiving email.
Your website
- Six templates, not a page builder. You choose a template and a colour, then edit the sections. There is no drag-and-drop layout.
- Your own domain name is not set up here yet. Your site lives at an address Clubroll gives it; the Website page shows it.
Support
- There is no phone line, no live chat and no onboarding call. The help centre is written so you rarely need one. If it is not there, tell us what happened; we read these once a day and answer the ones we can.
- There is no mobile app. The site works in a phone's browser.
Your data
