Add, find and edit members on the roll
How to add a member by hand, search and filter the roll, and what each field is for.
The roll is the list of everyone in your club. Most clubs fill it by importing a list and then add people one at a time as they join.
Add someone
- Open Members and press Add a member.
- Fill in the name. Everything else is optional: email, phone, the date they joined (today by default), their status, tags and a free-text tier.
- Tick List this member in the public directory only if they have agreed to appear on your site.
- Leave On the newsletter list ticked only if they agreed to receive it.
- Press Add to the roll.
Dues for the current year are opened for an active member the next time the Dues page is opened.
Find someone
The Find someone on the roll box takes a name, email or tag. You can narrow by status (active, lapsed or pending) or by tag, and tick Only members with no email. Press Filter. The roll shows each member's dues state and whether they are listed in the directory.
Tags
Tags are words separated by commas, such as "committee, choir, life member". They are how groups come in from an import, and the way to pick out a group on the roll. See member status and tags.
Open a member
Click a name to see their page: their dues and payments, their newsletter choice and where it came from, and what was sent to them. From there you can invite them to sign in, change their details, and delete them.
Delete a member
Delete member removes the member and their dues history after you confirm. It cannot be taken back, so if someone has simply left, set their status to lapsed instead and keep the record. A member who has a login cannot be deleted until that login is removed: the owner or an officer does that from Logins and roles on Settings. See invite another officer. If a member has asked you to delete their data, use the privacy screens instead: see erase a member's data.
